Mapping Socioeconomic Patterns in the United States: Education, Income, and Poverty

Author(s): Zhiyu Guo

This project explores the spatial dimensions of socioeconomic inequality across the United States using CyberGISX. Through the integration of Folium and GeoPandas, it visualizes state-level variations in educational attainment, median household income, and poverty rates. The project highlights how these indicators intersect geographically, revealing patterns of opportunity and disadvantage across different regions. By combining data analysis and interactive mapping, it provides an accessible and reproducible framework for understanding how education and economic well-being are distributed across U.S. states.
